Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our growing team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead complex site development projects, mentor junior staff, and take on increasing responsibility in client engagement and project leadership.

 

You’ll play a key role in delivering impactful projects across the region while continuing to grow your influence within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of site development projects, including layout, grading, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management
  • Manage project tasks, schedules, and budgets to ensure high-quality, on-time, and profitable project delivery
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and local/state agencies throughout all phases of the project lifecycle—from concept through permitting and construction
  • Support proposal development, scope definition, and cost estimating efforts
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical oversight to junior engineers and designers
  • Collaborate with internal teams across environmental, geotechnical, survey, and other disciplines

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (or related field) required (ABET accredited)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in West Virginia or ability to gain reciprocity
  • Experience managing and leading project teams 
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with active and future clients
  • Experience in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
