Professional Surveyor - Principal

As a Professional Surveyor/Principal with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll work alongside Senior Managers and Executives to grow and support an established survey practice. You'll oversee a wide range of project types including Existing Conditions and Topographic Surveys, Boundary and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Utility and Route Surveys, Subdivisions and Statutory Plats, Construction layout and As-Built Surveys. This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about mentoring, team development, and operational excellence, while also contributing to business development efforts.

CEC Bridgeport is part of our West Virginia operations, which includes offices in Martinsburg and Charleston. Our Bridgeport office is conveniently located off of interstate 79 and is within walking distance of multiple restaurants. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of surveyors and technicians, fostering professional growth and a collaborative culture
• Oversee project quality and safety standards, ensuring accurate deliverables and efficient work-flows
• Recruit and develop top talent to strengthen the practice and support long-term growth
• Collaborate with the current survey leadership team and other managers to identify new opportunities and expand services
• Support business development efforts through client engagement and integrated solutions

• Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) in West Virginia or ability to obtain license (required)
• 10+ years of land surveying experience
• Experience leading business development and client management efforts
• Experience leading and mentoring staff
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary consulting practice preferred
• Network of existing client is a plus
