Overview

(CEC) in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Construction Service Manager to lead our team and manage a diverse portfolio of construction projects. What You'll Do:

As a Senior Construction Service Manager, you will be the driving force behind our construction services, overseeing projects from a high-level perspective. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, communicating project updates, and building lasting relationships.
  • Project Leadership: Provide comprehensive oversight for multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget. This includes coordinating and directing field crews and subconsultants.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, including timely and accurate invoicing, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
  • As-built Management: Ensure the timely and precise completion of as-builts and other final deliverables, maintaining a high standard of quality for project closeout.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve potential issues on-site and in the office to maintain project momentum and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in construction services, project management, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple complex construction projects simultaneously. This includes a deep understanding of construction methods, timelines, and deliverables, including as-built surveys.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and office staff. Experience in team building, mentorship, and project scheduling is essential.
  • Business Acumen: Strong skills in project financial management, including invoicing, cost control, and profitability analysis. Experience with budget forecasting and contract negotiation is highly desirable.
  • Client Relations: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a successful track record of client contact, relationship management, and conflict resolution.
  • Education:  An associate degree in Land Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or experience commensurate on 7-10 years in construction surveying.
  • Certification: A valid driver's license is required.
