Overview

As a Water Resources Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) you'll have the opportunity to grow the Water Resources Practice and serve clients in the public sector, real estate, oil & gas and, and power markets. You will manage projects and assist in growing an experienced team performing dam rehabilitation, utility infrasturcture design, stream restoration design and floodplain analysis.  You’ll be responsible for managing and mentoring junior staff to educate them on design parameters, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and regulatory criteria. You will also have client development responsibilities so that you can continue to expand the Water Resources Practice.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil  or Environmental Engineering;
  • P.E. certification;
  • 20+ years of experience with water resource projects in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, dam safety engineering, utility infrastructure design and stream restoration;
  • Client development and management experience;
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM or other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software;
  • Experience reviewing and providing detailed feedback on engineering drawings;
  • Experience with Construction Administration;
  • Experience with Public Sector clients is preferred;
  • Experience leading a design team that creates final engineering designs, authors design reports, and prepares permit applications.
