As a Solid Waste Principal in our Nashville, TN office, you will lead business development initiatives, manage key client relationships, direct projects, and mentor junior staff. Your expertise will help drive growth across sectors including solid waste, recycling, resource recovery, and innovative waste stream management solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and strengthen relationships with existing clients across private and public sectors
  • Lead project delivery including technical oversight, scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring and staff development
  • Provide technical direction for projects involving solid waste, recycling, and resource recovery systems
  • Represent CEC in industry events and collaborate with other leaders to shape strategic growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in the waste management industry including design, operations, oversight, and consulting
  • Proven business development success and strong client relationship management skills
  • B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. preferred)
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license, with the ability to obtain Tennessee licensure
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in proposal writing and technical reporting
  • Strong leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to promoting and upholding a safety-first culture
