CEC is growing our operations, and we have an excellent opportunity to hire a Principal to contribute to our Waste Management Practice in our Franklin, TN location.  As a Principal with CEC, you will assist in expanding the practice in market sectors that include traditional Solid Waste, Composting and other waste stream management solutions.   You will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing client relationships, as well as managing projects, mentoring junior staff, making hiring recommendations, and providing direction on a variety of projects for private and public sector clients.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in the Solid Waste industry including engineering design, operations and management; 
  • Demonstrated business development and client relationship management experience required;
  • Strong professional relationships with clients in applicable market sector(s);
  • B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus);
  • Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.); ability to secure Tennessee license;
  • Sound understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools, and
  • Strong project management skills:
    • Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills;
    • Promote our safety culture and encourage collaboration;
    • Foster an attitude and committment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
