Overview

CEC is rapidly expanding our team, and we are looking for a motivated Principal Bridge Engineer to develop, manage and lead bridge design projects in the Pennsylvania market.  As a CEC Principal, business development, overall quality and leading production and staff are key responsibilities. Come lead some of the top engineers and professionals in the industry. This position will provide an opportunity for career advancement, while contributing to the firm’s growth in bridge engineering.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, planning and project delivery to create an excellent client experience;
  • Contribute towards the development of CEC’s strategy that focuses on providing best in class client service to serve our current clients and to grow our client base;
  • Collaborate on project pursuits, proposals, scope and schedules;
  • Lead multi-discipline design efforts including geotechnical, roadway, permitting and others;
  • Provide quality assurance review of project-related documentation;
  • Coach and mentor staff across all career levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  • PE registration in Pennsylvania, or ability to be registered with reciprocity;
  • 15+ years of proven success assembling plans sets, and leading design-build and design-bid-build projects;
  • Prior proposal development and client relationship success;
  • Working experience with marketing, business development, project pursuits, and proposal preparation a plus;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required;
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, Civil 3D and bridge design software;
  • Demonstrated communication and team leadership skills.
