Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Consultant

As an Air Quality Engineer, you'll work under the direction of project managers and other senior staff to assist clients in the manufacturing, power, natural gas, mining, and waste industries to obtain air quality permits, expand their existing operations, and comply with ongoing state and federal regulations.  The majority of the work will be in the office.  Field work is limited and would include conducting site visits to verify equipment information and emission sources.  Office services will require strong analytical and good communications skills to evaluate data, perform calculations, learn environmental regulations, and complete regulatory forms.

• B.S. or M.S in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related field
• Experience in air quality permitting and compliance preferred but not required
• Experience with emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and pollution control technologies preferred but not required
• 0-5 years of consulting, compliance, or industry experience
• Familiarity of state and Federal air quality regulations
• Familiarity of New Source Review procedures
• Familiarity with air compliance needs of industrial clients including natural gas, manufacturing, solid waste, and power industries
• Ability to effectively communicate with other technical specialists, clients, and regulatory agencies in person and in writing
• Ability to perform multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on deliverables
