As an Environmental Engineer / Assistant Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved with environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the public sector, manufacturing, energy, mining, and real-estate markets. You'll perform project tasks such as remediation system design, construction observation, system operation and maintenance, optimization diagnostics, environmental sampling, data management and presentations, report writing, and project management. This position will include field work primarily consisting of soil, sediment, groundwater, and stormwater sample collection, pilot studies and field testing, remedial implementation observation, operational data collection, and troubleshooting. Additional field work may include soil boring and groundwater monitoring well installation, lithology characterization, hydrogeologic data acquisition, and compliance auditing. You'll interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials from the site assessment and remedial design phases through remedial implementation. Limited travel (on average upwards of 1 week per month) including overnight will be required.
