Landscape Architect - Project Manager

We offer a flexible hybrid work schedule of 2 days work-from-home or 1 day off every other week. Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Landscape Architect to fill an opening in our Bridgeport/Charleston WV Offices. CEC is a growing multi-disciplinary firm helping to shape the future of the regions that we serve through comprehensive, creative, and sustainable design.    

Do you love the mountains and outdoors? Can you see yourself designing a regional trail system, a mountain resort, an inclusive park, a community streetscape design, or maybe the next state-of-the-art mixed-use development? How about re-establishing a historic stream and its watershed in order to reduce stormwater runoff or participating in a large multi-disciplinary regional master planning team? As a Landscape Architect at CEC, you will find yourself working as part of a collaborative design team consisting of engineers, ecologists, scientists, architects, and developers to create sustainable developments for our commercial, public, institutional, residential, and energy clients.

This position involves:

• Collaborative work with senior landscape architects and a diverse team of professionals;
• Preparation of conceptual designs and graphic illustrations for design solutions;
• Regional Master plans;
• Creation of Design Development packages;
• Development of bid drawings and specifications;
• Performance of construction administration services including site visits;
• Completion of project management tasks with the assistance from senior landscape architect;
• Managing and directing up and coming staff.

• BS/MS in Landscape architecture from an accredited program;
• Experience with site layout, grading, and stormwater design;
• Experience with master planning, site design, landscape design, and land development;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Adobe Suite;
• 5 to 8 years of experience;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Landscape Architecture Registration a plus ;
• Staff Mentoring Experience; 
• Experience in leading public engagement;
• Lumion and SketchUp Experience;
• Hand Graphic Expertise.
