As a Geotechnical Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) Geotechnical group in our Pittsburgh, PA Corporate office, you'll be responsible for geotechnical subsurface investigations related to real estate development, manufacturing, renewable energy, natural gas and utility infrastructure, and solid waste landfill projects (building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, landslides, and pavements), as well as construction materials testing services for various projects. You will coordinate or monitor subsurface drilling, obtain soil and rock samples, prepare boring logs, develop laboratory testing programs, interpret laboratory data, perform geotechnical analyses and prepare geotechnical reports. This role will also include construction materials testing and project duties will include earthwork, concrete, foundation, masonry, and pavement construction testing.
