Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Bridgeport as a Geotechnical Project Manager in the Geotechnical Group. We have a great, high energy, multidisciplined office that is conveniently located just off of interstate 79 and within walking distance of multiple restaurants. In addition, we offer a flexible hybrid work schedule of 2 days work-from-home or 1 day off every other week. Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) is growing, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer. Your project assignments will include geotechnical subsurface investigations, geotechnical design and construction related problem solving related to real estate and oil and gas projects. Your geotechnical subsurface investigation project duties will consist of coordination or monitoring subsurface drilling, obtaining soil and rock samples, preparing boring logs, developing laboratory testing programs, interpreting laboratory data, performing geotechnical analyses and design, and report preparation. You will provide recommendations for building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining wall design, landslide remediation, and roadway rehabilitation. You may also manage construction materials testing services including coordination, supervision, review, and direction of technical staff for earthwork, concrete, foundation, masonry, and pavement testing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience;
  • Ability to obtain a Professional Engineer registration;
  • E.I.T. or F.E. certification;
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineer.
