CEC is seeking a Municipal Services professional to grow and expand our civil, stormwater, water, wastewater, and utility services capabilities in the Greenville, SC office.  As a leader for CEC, you’ll manage projects and teams to perform studies, create engineering plans, and be involved in projects’ final development and construction.  You’ll take part in managing projects, quality control, client interfacing, budgeting, and mentoring and supervising junior engineers.  Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you’ll impact the whole project - conceptual and design phases, quality control, the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.

 

You will not only lead projects, but assist in recruiting, supervising, and mentoring technical and field staff.  You will also be responsible for developing business for CEC through utilization of your existing network and internal CEC resources.  You'll work with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you will impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with P.E. certification;
  • Experience in municipal, stormwater (MS4), and infrastructure projects;
  • Detailed engineering design;
  • Advise Municipal clients with funding choices and opportunities and assist in filing loan and grant funding applications;
  • Interpreting studies and developing preliminary and final project engineering designs;
  • Authoring Engineering Design Reports and Permit Applications;
  • Developing efficient plant layout and directing CADD, civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical and structural professionals to provide equipment selection and prepare construction plans and project specifications;
  • Experienced in permitting and project approval requirements;
  • Experience leading teams and staff;
  • Preparing operations and training manuals;
  • Construction/Commissioning phase services and routine facility operations;
  • Client development, networking, and management experience;
  • Experience with an Engineering firm;
  • Ability to speak and write professionally; 
  • Ability to develop and mentor staff; 
  • Ability to provide a technical review of Civil Engineering/Utility deliverables; and
  • Ability to prepare proposals and manage project execution.
