Environmental Engineering Project Manager

Job Locations US-PA-Athens


As an Environmental Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be responsible for managing current clients and developing new business, as well as managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and providing senior direction on a variety of projects for natural gas, manufacturing, mining, power, public sector, real estate and waste management clients.


  • BS in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related degree (MS a plus);
  • P.E. or P.G. preferred;
  • 10+ years applicable experience in site investigation/remediation, due diligence, and/or environmental compliance;
  • Ability to speak and write professionally, including experience with the preparation of regulatory submittals under PADEP’s Land Recycling and
  • Environmental Remediation Standards Act (Act 2), NYSDEC’s Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP), and other regulatory programs;
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects including budgeting and cost control;
  • Demonstrated experience supervising technical and administrative staff;
  • Strong leadership, team building, mentoring, and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated business development and client management experience with existing client contacts required;
  • Experience with characterization of soils, groundwater, sediment, and waste on at RCRA, CERCLA, and Brownfield sites, as well as developing remediation strategies;
  • Experience managing and/or performing due diligence (Phase I/II environmental assessments) services;
  • Experience managing and/or performing regulatory compliance and environmental management system audits;
  • Experience developing environmental compliance plans and permitting packages (spill response plans, groundwater and surface water protection plans, water/waste permitting, etc.);
  • A desire to expand your potential client network through active participation in various organizations.
