Overview

As a Solid Waste Engineer/Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., (CEC), you will be involved in:

 

  • The geotechnical evaluation of municipal solid waste landfills, to include performing slope stability analyses, evaluating and developing waste and other material properties, and designing and leading field studies
  • The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction services for solid waste management facilities.
  • The design of all aspects of landfill environmental control systems
  • Client management and project management

 

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal facilities, with an emphasis on the geotechnical evaluation of these facilities; 
  • Ability to closely interact with clients to provide guidance and recommendations
  • Proficient in the use of slope stability software
  • B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus);
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure;
  • Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
