  • Overview


    Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is growing and we are looking for a Civil Engineer to assist in the growth of a Civil Engineering and Land Development practice in our Charlotte, NC office. In this role, you will assist the Civil Engineering Lead to manage project teams to create land development plans and civil engineering solutions for our commercial, manufacturing, institutional, and energy clients. From issues involved with institutional and retail development, stormwater, water/wastewater, solid waste, you'll take part in managing projects, reviewing work products, quality control, client interfacing, budgeting, and mentoring and supervising junior engineers. In managing junior engineers, you will review the design aspects which will include site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you will impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.




    Qualifications

    • 8-15 years’ experience working in the Land Development Sector;
      BS/MS in Civil Engineering;
    • Professional Registration in North Carolina;
    • Established local connections with developers, architects, business and manufacturing clients, or other land development arenas;
    • Ability to speak and write professionally.
    • Experienced in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Excel, Word, HEC-RAS and other computer modeling software a plus;
    • Experience in communicating with clients, contractors, and government officials
